Pilgrim has created fashion jewellery since 1983. Sales representatives travel the world to showcase the seasonal collections which are then purchased by more than 5000 chains and department stores in Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Every 6 months, Pilgrim attends over 30 exhibitions around the globe. During these exhibitions, customers are literally standing in line to submit purchase orders. This, of course, puts great strain on the order taking process which should be easy, swift and error free.
In order to increase its competitiveness, Pilgrim decided to optimise their process by implementing a mobile sales solution. This solution is used globally by Pilgrim's sales force at exhibitions and sales calls.
All sales people have a PDA which can register 40 item lines per minute. On the PDA the sales person can view the customer's information and historical data. Orders are entered extremely quickly and the customer receives a printed order confirmation immediately. The solution is developed to handle large amounts of data, as well as scan and print. It is available in different language versions. A strong feature is the integration with Pilgrim's current Axapta ERP solution.
